How is it diagnosed?

Our doctor at Medanta will be easily able to diagnose hypotension by measuring your blood pressure. Other tests like ECG and blood tests would also be performed.

How is it treated?

Following are some measures that you can follow to cure hypotension:

  • Take plenty of fluids

When you sweat, your blood pressure starts declining quickly because your body starts losing liquids. So, whenever you feel low, you should drink coconut water, juice and lemonade. By taking fluids, your blood pressure will restore to normal.

  • Take your meals on time

Always take your meals on time. Never skip a meal. If you do not eat appropriately, then your blood pressure will start declining, and you will feel lazy. So, whenever you feel low, just take your meal or eat a piece of fruit.

  • Get up slowly

Get up slowly from your bed after sleep. You might faint because of a change in the position.

When do I contact the doctor?
