Key Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping staff.Conduct regular rounds and inspections to ensure cleanliness in all areas including patient care, clinical, and public areas.Ensure compliance with hospital infection control and biomedical waste management standards.Assign duties to housekeeping staff based on shift schedules and hospital requirements.Monitor usage and availability of housekeeping supplies and request restocking as needed.Train new and existing staff on hospital housekeeping procedures, safety measures, and infection control protocols.Address patient and staff complaints regarding housekeeping services and resolve them promptly.Maintain records of attendance, duty rosters, and performance evaluations of housekeeping personnel.Coordinate with nursing, administration, and facility teams for timely housekeeping support.Ensure timely cleaning and turnaround of patient discharge rooms and operation theatres.Report maintenance or repair needs to the Facility/Engineering department.Monitor the use and maintenance of housekeeping equipment.Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for hospital housekeeping.
