About Dr Akanksha Prasad
Dr. Akanksha Prasad is a highly accomplished Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist at Jay Prabha Medanta Super Specialty Hospital, Patna, with over 12 years of extensive clinical, teaching, and surgical experience in the field.
Dr. Prasad's distinguished career includes serving as a Senior Research Associate at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, where she significantly contributed to several international collaborative projects as part of the WHO Collaborating Centre. Prior to this, she managed high-volume clinics and operating rooms at RML Hospital and Post Graduate Institute of Medical Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi.
Her international experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Doheny/Jules Stein - Doheny Eye Institute, University of California Los Angeles, and further postdoctoral work at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Boston.
Dedicated to advancing the field of ophthalmology, Dr. Prasad actively engages with experts in vision research and holds a lifetime membership with the prestigious Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO). Her professional expertise covers a wide range of ocular diseases, with a particular focus on corneal disorders, low vision, and medical retina.
