MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR CHECK-UP
General Instructions
• Arrive at the scheduled appointment time.
• Do not eat or drink anything except water for a minimum of 10 to 12 hours.
• It is advised to remove all of your jewellery before the health checkup
• Do not consume alcohol or nicotine for 24 hours before the health checkup.
• Carry all your current medications and medical records for any known medical condition (preferably from the last two years).
• We request you to wear glasses and not contact lenses on the day of your health checkup.
• If your eyes are dilated during the check-up, your vision may be blurred for 2–3 hours. Avoid driving, reading, or writing during this period.
• Do not take calcium or multivitamins/supplements (that contain calcium salt) for 48 hours prior to the test if you are scheduled for a DEXA/Bone Densitometry test
• Do not take any blood pressure medicines, especially calcium channel blockers and beta blockers, for 24 hours before the Stress Echo/DSE tests.
• For Spirometry/Pulmonary Function Testing, the use of inhalers should ideally be avoided for 24 hours before the test. Please do so only after consulting your prescribing physician.
• Ultrasound Abdomen is done after four hours of fasting, with a full bladder and high urine pressure.
• Please do not pass urine if you are scheduled for an abdominal ultrasound.
Other Instructions
• If you are a diabetic, cardiac or BP patient, or have suffered any illness or fever in the recent past, please inform the Preventive Health Check-up reception in advance.
• All corporate clients are requested to bring the original credit note from their company. For identification, kindly bring a valid photo ID card.
• Reports for certain tests like CT coronary angiography and HPV-DNA may take up to 72 hours.
