Dr. Mukesh Kumar is a distinguished Gastroenterology Consultant with comprehensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal, liver and pancreatic disorders. He has completed his DM in Gastroenterology from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, Guwahati, and has strong academic and clinical training in advanced gastroenterology and hepatology. He has extensive experience in performing a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy, enteroscopy, endoscopic variceal ligation, glue injection, stricture dilatation, polypectomy, balloon dilatation for achalasia cardia, ERCP for common bile duct stones, and diagnostic endoscopic ultrasound. Dr. Kumar has special expertise in the management of chronic liver diseases such as cirrhosis, metabolic associated fatty liver disease, viral hepatitis B and C, inflammatory bowel disease and pancreaticobiliary disorders.
