What happens during the procedure?
The surgery is performed under general anaesthesia. A few incisions are made behind the knees or behind the buttock. The incisions are approximately two inches in length. The tendinous parts of muscles are then cut and allowed to be stretched out to release tightness.
After Hamstring Lengthening
The patient would probably have to stay a night in the hospital. Depending upon the gravity of the surgery, some people may have to wear knee immobilisers, cast, or braces for some time.
