Steps to take before the surgery
Our doctors at Medanta will acquaint you with the procedure and will ensure you feel utmost comfortable during the process. Discuss with your doctor about the medication that you need to take or you have been taking. Also, talk about your diet and immunity system.
What happens during the procedure?
The surgery is performed under general anaesthesia. During the procedure, 4 small incisions are made in mid portion of the abdomen, and the surgery is performed using high-quality lap instruments. Through the small incision and lap instruments, doctors can view the pelvic region under optimum vision. Lap instruments are inserted through very small incisions (0.5-1 cm) in the abdomen. This helps in dissection, and later, stitching of the pelvic organs.
After the procedure
The patient will be required to stay in the hospital for a day or less. Generally, patients can return back to the normal routine in 10-14 days however your doctor might advise you to avoid strenuous activities for that period.
