Medanta Noida Launches Dedicated Paediatric Asthma & Allergy Centre for Children

Noida, July 20, 2026: Medanta Noida today announced the launch of a dedicated Paediatric Asthma & Allergy Centre, set up to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for children suffering from asthma, allergies, recurrent cough and cold, wheezing, and respiratory disorders. It will also address food allergies, drug allergies, skin allergies, and insect venom allergies, giving children and their families a single, dedicated destination for the full spectrum of paediatric allergic conditions.

The centre brings together paediatric pulmonology, allergy care, immunotherapy, and preventive child health under a single roof, and will be led by Dr. Shalini Tyagi, Director, Paediatrics, Medanta Noida.

Allergy silently affects millions of Indian children and often goes undiagnosed for years, with common symptoms wrongly attributed to routine illness. The new centre has been designed to close this gap through early identification and structured, long-term allergy management. Its clinical approach rests on three pillars: one, staging the disease and give appropriate medications to control symptoms, second to advice regarding food avoidance and environmental control measures, and third to identify the inciting allergen so that we can reduce its exposure and start desensitising against it at the earliest

The centre will also focus on educating families to help them recognise warning signs, avoid known triggers, and manage flare-ups with confidence at home.

Every child deserves healthy lungs, a healthy life, and the freedom to reach their full potential. Asthma and allergies should never limit a child's ability to play, learn, or excel. Treating symptoms alone is not enough, we must identify the underlying allergen early so that targeted avoidance and allergen immunotherapy can prevent disease progression, improve quality of life, and help every child breathe freely and live without limits,” That is the outcome this centre has been built to deliver, for every child who walks through our doors and for the years of their childhood we get to protect said Dr. Shalini Tyagi, Director, Paediatrics, Medanta Noida.

The launch reflects a wider shift in Indian paediatric care, where allergic and respiratory conditions are increasingly being recognised as needing focused, long-term specialist attention rather than repeated acute treatment. With this centre, Medanta Noida adds a dedicated, multidisciplinary facility to the region's paediatric care landscape, built around consistent, evidence-based management rather than one-off treatment of symptoms.
