Noida, September 26, 2026: Cardiovascular disease has emerged as a leading cause of mortality in India, responsible for nearly 31% of all deaths in the country, according to the Registrar General of India's Report on Causes of Death 2021-23. Doctors have also flagged a worrying shift in this burden toward younger, working-age Indians, with lifestyle-related risk factors such as sedentary routines, poor diet, tobacco use and unmanaged stress contributing to a rise in cardiac events in people as young as their 30s and 40s.

Against this backdrop, Medanta Noida, on Saturday organised the Medanta Cardiac Conclave 2026, bringing together the country’s leading cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, physicians and healthcare professionals for an evening of scientific exchange on the changing landscape of cardiovascular care. 

Inaugurated by Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman & Managing Director, Medanta Group, the conclave brought together experts across clinical and preventive cardiology, interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, electrophysiology and structural heart care to discuss emerging evidence, treatment approaches and the challenges shaping cardiac practice today.

Taken together, the discussions reflected a broader consensus that better cardiac outcomes now depend as much on clinical judgement and early action as on technological advancement.
