About the Speciality

The Institute of Peripheral Vascular & Endovascular Sciences at Medanta provides complete care for vascular diseases. Our team of expert surgeons use cutting-edge technologies to treat vascular trauma, strokes, peripheral artery disease, varicose veins and more. We are dedicated to restoring blood flow and saving limbs.

Our Chairman Message

We understand the profound effects a condition of the vascular system can have, be it something life-threatening like a stroke, embolism, diabetic foot or something as simple as varicose veins. Our comprehensive treatments curate care for you in every way required.

The Institute of Peripheral Vascular and Endovascular Sciences at Medanta takes care of all vascular injuries, both arterial and venous round the clock.

Medanta is centre dedicated to performing its own diagnostic tests and carrying out interventional management of the patients.

Experts in specilaised procedures for varicose veins inlcuding EVLT/RFA, ablation, and GLUE ablation.

Specialised minimally invasive treatment for abdominal aortic aneurysms, called Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR).

Backed by advanced technologies including the Hybrid Zeego Cath Lab, with a robotic arm facilitating fine endovascular robotic surgery

Our Treatments

Comprehensive, collaborative vascular care.

01
Stroke
In acute ischemic stroke, restoring blood flow quickly is crucial to save brain tissue. Our doctors can perform urgent endovascular thrombectomy to remove clots, combined with IV tPA clot-busting medication.
02
Peripheral Vascular Disease
For peripheral artery disease, we open blocked leg arteries with angioplasty and stenting, saving limbs from amputation. Medications and exercise help manage symptoms long-term.
03
Injuries
Vascular trauma from accidents often requires immediate surgery to stop bleeding and restore blood flow. At Medanta's trauma center, vascular surgeons rapidly diagnose and treat injured blood vessels with minimally invasive endovascular procedures when possible.
04
Varicose Veins
For varicose veins, our specialists perform endovenous laser ablation, a minimally invasive procedure that uses heat from a laser fiber to seal off affected veins. This relieves pain and swelling with minimal downtime.
05
Diabetic Foot Vascular Surgery
Diabetic foot infection is an open sore that usually does not heal, and may lead to serious complications. In many cases, they take form of ulcers and provide an entry route for bacteria which causes infections. They are basically a common complication of poorly controlled diabetes, forming as a result of skin tissue breaking down and exposing the layers underneath. Neuropathy can also cause structural deformities that can compound minor injuries to the foot.
06
Embolisation for vascular malformations
Embolization is a minimally invasive surgical technique. It is a procedure to treat vascular malformations which involves congenital vascular abnormalities of the veins, lymph vessels, or both veins and lymph vessels. In this process, a blood vessel is occluded by the lodgement of an embolus.
07
Secondary Assisted Central Venous access for Haemodialysis
Haemodialysis Procedure - Secondary assisted central venous access is the most commonly used procedure for short-term or emergency haemodialysis. A tube called venous catheter is inserted into a vein in the neck, chest, or groin for haemodialysis.
08
Peripheral Angiography
Peripheral angiography is a test, which uses X-rays, and a special dye to examine and find blocked or narrowed blood vessels, or arteries carrying blood to the brain, arms, legs, chest, belly or back. It helps helps the doctor in highlighting the blocked or narrow areas of arteries that carry blood to legs, limbs, knees, ankles, and arms. The doctor with the use of a dye, inserted in the peripheral arteries, generates images on the screen, which displays blockages and clots.
