Dr. Nahid Anjum

Dr Nahid Anjum is a dedicated medical microbiologist with over 9 years of clinical, academic, and diagnostic experience in the field of microbiology. Her professional expertise spans across bacteriology, virology, parasitology, serology, mycology and immunology with a special interest in molecular diagnostics, including PCR-based technologies. She has notably contributed to the establishment and operation of the Regional Virology Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) at AIIMS Patna, playing a key role in COVID-19 diagnostics. 

In her academic career, Dr Anjum has served as a senior resident and Medical Scientist at AIIMS Patna and has been actively involved in postgraduate and undergraduate teaching, supervision of lab staff and infection control initiatives. She has also worked on the development of central microbiology laboratory services and contributed to the medical education through journal clubs, seminars and training sessions. 

Dr Anjum is passionate about applying her expertise to advanced infection diagnosis, strengthen laboratory systems and promote scientific rigour in clinical microbiology practice.
