Dr. Amit Singhal is an accomplished anaesthesiologist with more than 25 years of experience in anaesthesia and critical care, including over 16 years as Head of Department. A medalist in his field, he has played a pioneering role in establishing liver transplant programmes across India, including at premier public and private institutions. He has managed anaesthesia and critical care for over 1,500 liver transplant procedures with outcomes comparable to leading international centres.

Pioneer of the first successful liver transplant program in the Indian public sector at ILBS, New Delhi

Initiated the first MCI accredited fellowship (PDCC in Liver Transplant Anesthesia and Critical Care) and degree course (DM in Organ Transplant Anesthesia and Critical Care) in India.

Established successful liver transplant program in BLK-Max Superspeciality Hospital, Nanavati Max Hospital, Mumbai and Max Superspeciality Hospital, Dwarka, Delhi.

Established and led the department of Anaesthesia & Critical Care at ACTREC, Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai. Also spearheaded the commissioning of its brachytherapy, neuroanaesthesia and bone marrow transplant units.
