Extensive experience in tracheal, bronchial, lung, mediastinal and chest wall surgeries using open, VATS and robotic approaches.
She has significant lung transplant exposure, contributing to pre-operative workup, transplant surgery and post-operative care, and has earned multiple national awards including the ASI Traveling Fellowship.
Dr. Chopra has a strong academic background with publications, book chapters, MRCS (Edinburgh), ATLS instructor certification, and fellowships in Surgical Gastroenterology, Liver Transplantation, Minimal Access and Robotic Surgery.
Dr. Rachita Chopra is a skilled Thoracic Surgeon with specialized training in open, VATS, and robotic thoracic procedures. A DrNB Thoracic Surgery graduate from Medanta, she has performed complex lung resections, tracheobronchial surgeries (including tracheal and bronchial sleeve resections), decortications, and surgeries involving the mediastinum, esophagus, and chest wall. She has also been part of Medanta’s lung transplant team, contributing across all phases of care. An MRCS (Edinburgh) and certified ATLS instructor, Dr. Chopra has earned multiple national awards and published extensively. Her additional training includes fellowships in Surgical Gastroenterology, Minimal Access and Robotic Surgery, and a Public Policy program completed with high distinction.
