About Dr. Abhishek Tandon

Dr. Abhishek Tandon is a Pulmonologist, Intensivist and Somnologist based out of Lucknow. With an illustrious 9-year journey in the field, he stands as a beacon of expertise, blending profound academic and research accomplishments with a fervent dedication to the art of healing. He is a DM in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur, where he was awarded the Gold Medal for securing the highest marks in his exit examination. A vivid researcher from the start of his career, he has numerous publications to his name in indexed national and international journals including his correspondence on Air pollution published in The Lancet. He is an MD in Respiratory Medicine, from Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak. He went on to secure the highest marks amongst all the specialties amongst all the colleges under Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences and was awarded the Gold Medal in the Department. MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore. Dr. Tandon was selected for Short Term Studentship by the Indian Council of Medical Research in 2012, for which he undertook a study which he presented at Leiden International Medical Students' Conference, Leiden, The Netherlands in 2015. He was subsequently selected as the Ambassador for India to LIMSC for the years 2015- 2017 and 2017-2019. Having a keen interest in extracurricular activities, he was elected as the Literary and Culture Secretary, for the Students' Council, Curofy Student Ambassador, Curofy Student Mentor, Founding and Executive board member of Manipal University Students' Research Forum and a Founding member of Volunteer Student Organization. Dr. Tandon secured a Distinction in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Pathology, Microbiology and First Class in ENT, Ophthalmology, Social and Preventive Medicine, Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynecology and was eventually elected the Fellow of Academy of General Education by Manipal University.
