Dr. Smita jain is a Consultant in Medanta’s Division of Clinical & Preventive Cardiology. She heads the team of doctors involved in managing the critical ICCU patients. She is also a recognized faculty for BLS and ACLS course being run by the American Heart Association, through Max Hospital, New Delhi since February 2012. She is actively involved with the academics and clinical training of staff nurses, junior doctors and junior intensivists. She has been trained in ICU medicine with special emphasis on Pulmonology and critical care. She further got trained in Fibreoptic bronchoscopy and sleep apnea studies at Tata Memorial hospital, Mumbai. After completing her training she joined Mahavir Cardiac Hospital, Surat as an ICCU Registrar. This was one of the busiest cardiac hospitals of south Gujarat. Post which, she was invited to join Bombay Hospital, Indore as a Cardiac Intensivist.
