Dr. Bornali Datta is a senior pulmonologist with over 26 years of clinical experience across leading institutions in India and the UK. Trained at premier centres including MAMC (Delhi) and the NHS, UK, she specialises in the management of complex respiratory conditions such as COPD, asthma, interstitial lung diseases, sleep apnea, lung cancer, bronchiectasis, tuberculosis and other infectious lung diseases. She is highly experienced in advanced pulmonology procedures including bronchoscopy, EBUS, thoracoscopy and pleural interventions, and has led respiratory high-dependency units. Dr. Datta has been with Medanta since 2010 and played a pivotal role as a lead respiratory physician during the COVID-19 pandemic in Delhi NCR. Alongside clinical practice, she is deeply involved in public health, leading the state-level program Mission TB Free Haryana since 2015, and collaborates with national bodies and international partners such as University College London on TB elimination efforts. She has numerous publications, research contributions, and has served as faculty at national conferences.
