Dr. Sanjay Mittal, is a cardiologist who started his medical education from LLRM medical college Meerut in the year 1982, completed his MD in Medicine from the same College in 1991. He did is DM in cardiology from King George medical college Lucknow in the year 1994. 

He started his professional career as Cardiologist from Escorts Heart Intitute in the year 1994 and is currently working for last 10 years as a Senior Director Clinical cardiology and Research at Medanta the Medicity, Gurgaon. He has also had extensive training and experience working abroad at various hospitals, laboratories and medical centres such as the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital (New York), New England Medical Center (Boston), Echocardiography Lab (Cleveland) and institutes in other locations such as Buffalo, New Hampshire, Italy, Germany, etc.

An avid clinician, teacher and a hybrid with great insights into basic and clinical research, Dr Sanjay Mittal is currently in charge of the Heart failure program, non-invasive and clinical cardiology as well as Clinical research program at Medanta the Medicity. He is also director of Medanta Duke Research Institute.

During his career, he has also been involved in imparting education in the form of teaching post-doctoral DNB candidates and other students. In his academic career spanning for nearly 30 years, he has immensely contributed to the field of cardiology. A recipient of many professional awards, Dr. Mittal has an avid interest in conducting research and writing papers. He has more than 50 publications in various national and international journals and textbooks. He has performed several clinical trials and has also had many of his papers published in peer-reviewed journals. He has attended a large number of national and international conferences, delivered over 200 guest lectures, and conducted several workshops and training programmes. He is a member of numerous medical societies and professional organisations like Indian academy of echocardiography, Heart failure association of India, Cardiological society of India, International Medical Science Academy, API, IMA etc. Further, he has been involved in the organisation of more than 20 conferences and events in the field of Echocardiography, heart failure, clinical cardiology and research.
