PET Scan

PET (Positron Emission Tomography) scan is a functional imaging technique used to observe metabolic processes in a human body. During the process, a dye is used which involves radioactive tracers. These tracers are vaccinated into the body through a vein in the arm. The tracer gets diluted in the body. With the help of the tracer, the doctors are able to detect breast cancer, the presence of nodules or other breast abnormalities.
