About Dr. Amarendra Amar
Dr. Amrendra Amar is Associate Director, Medical Oncology in Jay Prabha Medanta Super Speciality Hospital, Patna. He completed his MD Internal Medicine from King George’s Medical University, Lucknow and DNB Medical Oncology from Indraprashtha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. He specializes in treating prostate & breast cancer and administering immunotherapy & targeted therapy. He holds expertise in treating GI, liver, lung, head & neck malignancies and hematolymphoid malignancies. He has also received the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) short-term studentship award during his MBBS in 2004. Along with that, he has received the Best Presentation Award at the 13th International Conference of ACOS, Chiang Mai in Thailand in 2018.
He is on the expert panel of American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) educational book. He is a reviewer for Journal of Thoracic Oncology and Journal of Support Care in Cancer.
