What is Tax Saver Health Check?

You can now save tax by investing in your health with our Tax Saver Package. As per Section 80D of the Income Tax Act, investing up to Rs. 5000 in Preventive Health Check-ups will help you save tax. This includes health check-ups for all dependents in your family, including self. 

It is recommended that you get this check-up done annually to take a closer look at your health. This comprehensive full-body health check-up will help screen your heart, kidney, liver, obesity, cancer, lungs, and overall health status. The package includes the following:

What preparation is needed for this Checkup?

  1. Get Sufficient Rest before the health check
  2. 10-12 hours of overnight fasting will be required before the health check.
  3. Avoid exercise in the morning on the day of the health check-up.
  4. Please wear comfortable footwear since you be required to undergo a brisk walk as a part of the Treadmill test (TMT ) if indicated
  5. Do not consume alcohol or nicotine 24 hours prior to the health check.
  6. Please carry all your current medications and medical records for any known medical condition (Significant Medical or Surgical History).
  7. A strong urge to void urine implies a full bladder. We suggest that you consume 1 to 2 liters of water starting 1 hour prior to your appointment time. This will ensure that you have a full bladder in time for your ultrasound scan.
  8. If you are a diabetic/cardiac/BP patient or have suffered any illness or fever in the recent past, please inform the EHC reception in advance. 

 

How to claim the tax benefit on preventive health checkups?

At the time of investment declaration, salaried professionals can submit a photocopy of the bill/receipt to their employer. Non-salaried people can secure the original receipt with them and produce it while filing Income tax returns.
