Dr Deeksha Kapoor is a Consultant at Medanta – The Medicity, Gurugram, in the Division of GI
Surgery, GI Oncology, Minimal Access and Bariatric Surgery. After completing her super
speciality training in Gastrointestinal Surgery from Medanta Institute, Dr Deeksha re-joined
the department as a faculty in 2019. For advanced surgical training in pancreato-biliary
diseases, she has travelled to various international centres, Beaujon Hospital, Paris, France,
the University of Heidelberg, Heidelberg, Germany in 2021 and the Tokyo Medical University
Hospital and the Japanese Foundation of Cancer Research, Tokyo, Japan in 2022.

Dr Deeksha has many publications to her credit, both in national and international peer-
reviewed journals and has won many awards. She also received the National Level Gold
medal, the Dr B Ramamurthi National Gold Medal for DNB General Surgery in 2014. She is a
reviewer for many national and international journals and is actively involved in academic
research. She is a member of various surgical societies, including the International Hepato
Pancreato-biliary Association and the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract. She
specializes in the management of gastrointestinal disorders, including pancreato-biliary
disease, liver disease, upper GI and colorectal diseases and is proficient in open and
laparoscopic GI surgical procedures and other procedures related to the abdomen.

Dr Deeksha is empathetic and sincere towards her patients and believes in delivering quality
healthcare based on the best available standards.
